So, because my husband is home bound I always order carry out. I go inside order $84 in food, I round the ticket to 90 for a tip. Waiting for my to go order and my niece asked for a cup of water. The waitress says let me see if that's okay. I don't know why I found this so funny, I said I would hope you could give a customer a cup of water. The waitress was new honestly didn't know. Now here's the part I found so hilarious, THEY CHARGED .35 CENTS FOR A TO GO CUSTOMER TO GET A CUP OF WATER. I spent $90 in food and service and got charged for water. If I dined in would you have charged for water? Way to make a good impression for my niece a resident of the area!
I ate here years ago, and my wife and I were hungry, and I was in the mood for mashed potatoes. We were about to go to Church's Chicken when I remembered this place. We drove from independence and arrived around 6 pm. When we walked in, they were maybe half capacity. We were seated promptly. The server was friendly and took our drink order. When the server dropped off our drinks, we were ready to order. My wife got chicken fingers, and I ordered pork tenderloin with white gravy. My wife has never been to this restaurant, so I added a half order of onion rings because you just have to have them! My wife loved the onion rings and said, " I have to bring my parents here! " ( they live in Alabama ) My wife really enjoyed our visit and I'm happy to remember this place I'd eaten at years ago. I definitely recommend this place. The Mac and cheese was wonderful. The onion rings perfect! The chicken fingers were tender and fresh. Everything was delicious, and the server was friendly.
Great family diner. Be prepared, the portions are huge! I had the tenderloin sandwich and it was one of the best I have ever had. I could only eat half of it. I also got the small order of onion rings. They served up a huge plate of very large fresh rings that were obviously not some processed garbage. These were excellent. I look forward to going back and trying some of their other dishes.
As far as Family Dining goes, PT's nails it. Nice place with a variety of seating options, good service, and good food. They are especially noted for their breaded pork tenderloins, and their excellent onion rings - wow. For each, you have options. The tenderloin has two sizes, and can be served as a sandwich or an entreé, with a variety of condiments, or two gravy options. Any of them are good. The onion rings, though, are some of the best I've had. I ordered a half-size serving of six. They are huge! With the small tenderloin, two sides, a roll, and six rings, I was stuffed by the time I was done. PT's is a great place to get a meal, and sometimes, especially weekends, evenings are very, very busy. They do have a drive-thru for pickup options, and clean restrooms. I highly recommend them.
Came here because they do a great job marketing on social media. Food was good. Service was great, value very reasonable. Great mom n pop atmosphere a d comfort food
PT's is a small diner that is very popular with the locals in Oak Grove and has all the favorites on the menu. After all the good things I heard about PT's signature pork tenderloin sandwich, I decided to stop for lunch on my way through town. The pork tenderloin was served hot and fresh with great flavor. It's not as huge as some, but is just the right size for lunch. Give it a try!
The Burger and onion rings make this place a must stop. The bun is like a soft Kaiser roll, and the burger is a fresh formed patty. This place is simple but I am really impressed. The service is professional, fast, and incredibly accurate. The building is old and has a traditional restaurant look. But don’t let that deter you.
We came here for the pork tenderloin and it did not disappoint. I ordered the large pork tenderloin (pictured) and a full order of onion rings (pictured). Both were excellent. The tenderloin was moist and tender, it was breaded and cooked to perfection in clean oil. The onion rings were great also and are huge! Restaurant was clean and staff was attentive and friendly.
Excellent place to eat if you like good home cooking country food. WARNING: The onion rings are HUGE. The portions are good, price is good and everything here tastes great. Found this place on a trip from CO to KY. This will be my stop every time I make this trip. Thank you for the great food and service. 2023 Update: Ate here again this year and the food, service and portion sizes were very good. Onion rings are huge, crispy and very good. Enjoyed the double cheeseburger and peach pie too. I’m sure I’ll stop by here again next year. Thank you.
We stopped by this country-style restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The fries were nicely crispy, not greasy, and served without excess salt — which I really appreciated. My hamburger steak was cooked perfectly and topped with flavorful mushrooms. The chicken soup tasted fresh and homemade, not like something from a can, which is always a great sign. The atmosphere felt simple and cozy, and overall it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
